I could go on for a while about all the highlights for the Case pocketknife collectors that came to the Bose-Reid tour in Eddyville. For a lot of people, it’s one of the best Case events of the year, thanks to the fantastic hospitality of the folks in Eddyville, and the fun Mr. Tony Bose and Ms. Ida Reid bring to the table.
One of the big highlights for the event was catching up with an attendee that’s an actual descendant of the Case family—the same that started the Case Cutlery company over 125 years ago.
Meet Larry Case.
His granddad was Dell Case, shown in the images on this blog, or, for those with the “Images of America: W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery” book, on page 62. Dell’s dad, or, to say it another way, Larry’s great grandad, was a brother to Job. Fun stuff!
