For a lot of people, the thought of fencing brings about a romanticized version of dashing rogues, Jedi Knights, characters played by Errol Flynn, and Inigo Montoya from the Princess Bride.
Actual fencing, of course, is a degree separated from the overdramatized version seen in fiction, but still holds the same thrilling speed and precision that Hollywood attempts to emulate. That’s why I’m proud to say that this year’s Celebration in the Ozarks event is going to be a magnificent one, featuring the skills of the Fencers of the Corn, an exceptionally talented youth fencing group located in the St. Louis metro area.
